Assigning Role Profiles

The Ready Connect Panel offers role based system resources and content like Guides and Job Aids under My Topics to Admins, Managers, and Employees. Assigning the right role profile to a user ensures they see the content that applies to them.
What Role should you choose?
Roles drive which content is available to specific users in the Ready Connect Panel. If you aren’t sure which role to assign, assign the role with higher privileges. Changing someone’s role only impacts what content they can see in the panel and not their security access. The role options available will depend on what functionality your company uses.
- Company Administrator: Access to all content in the panel
- HR Administrator: Access to all HR Admin related content (Including Benefits, Recruitment, etc.) Does not include access to Payroll.
- Payroll Administrator: Access to Payroll Admin related content excludes HR.
- Benefits Manager: Access to Benefit Admin related content
- Manager: Access to Manager related content.
- Recruiter: Access to Recruitment content
- Employee: Access to Employee related content
All Admin Roles will also be able to access Manager content. All roles can access Employee content.
Navigation Path:
Settings > Mass Edit > Mass Edit Profiles
Steps:
- Select the check boxes for the employees you want to edit.
TIP: Consider filtering by security profile or another field to help with grouping your employees by their role assignments. - In the Roles field of the Profiles section, select the drop-down menu or select the Roles Lookup
- Select the flag for the desired role.
- Select Apply Change, then select OK on the Warning message.
NOTE: You can also assign role profiles in the employee’s profile under Role Profile in the Profiles Panel. Also, if you need a default role profile setup or need security access to assign role profiles please request that by emailing mypayroll@paynorthwest.com.
