How To -- Enable eQuest in Job Requisitions

Purpose Statement

This document outlines the steps for enabling eQuest in Job Requisitions


Enabling eQuest in Job Requisitions

  1. Add eQuest to the company through the Marketplace. Please note, there are two different Market Place products to choose from. Make sure you choose the correct product.
    • eQuest Advantage Network: Free. Gives you the ability to post job requisitions to the eQuest Advantage Network which includes over 8000 free career and diverse sites.
    • eQuest Premium Job Boards: Fee to use. Gives you the ability to post jobs to eQuest Premium Job Boards
  2. After adding eQuest to your company, an eQuest setting will become available for Job Requisitions. This field will display for both new and existing requisitions.
    • The following criteria must be set or met before a Job Requisition can be sent to eQuest
      1. Type: Set to either External or Internal and External with a date to post externally and on that day it will be enabled.
      2. Active: Required to be checked
      3. Approved: If using a workflow, status must be approved
      4. eQuest: Must be checked
      5. Job Location: Will be used as a factor in determining the geographical area and available job boards to which the job will be posted. This must include a full job location (Street, City, State, Country)
      6. Job title: Required
      7. Job Description: Required
    • Other items to consider:
      1. Unchecking the eQuest checkbox on a requisition will remove the job requisition from eQuest, and in turn, eQuest will remove the job from the job boards.
      2. Posting and unposting times to the job boards will vary depending on the job boards used.
      3. The posting will be removed if the requisition is no longer active, has been closed and filled, or the Type is changed to Internal Only.
  3. From the Admin tab, go to Company Settings>HR Setup>Applicant Tracking/Recruitment>Job Requisitions
  4. Open or Create a Job Requisition
  5. Check the eQuest checkbox. Clicking the information icon displays an information tooltip that explains the eQuest application
  6. Ensure the requisition is filled out as completely as possible and all required fields are included.
  7. Click Save.
