General Settings checklist:

Mobile Punching

1) Security Profile must have mobile app Punching Enabled.  Best practice is to also enable saving the username and enabling biometric authentication.  If employees will be changing cost centers, that may need to be enabled, too.

2) Timesheet profile:

  • Timesheet Punching must be enabled

  • Time Collected via punches must be enabled

  • If using cost center changes, then cost center must be enabled with view/edit access

3) If using access profiles for web punching, must also have enabled for mobile punch.

Geofencing

1) Timesheet Profile Rules - one rule, added multiple times to do in and out punches.

  • Check Distance for Punch In
  • Check Distance for Punch Out

2) Cost Centers

  • Address locations must be enabled on cost center tree.  If address enabled on more than one level, address looks at LAST level for address verification

  • Geo-Fencing priority set to highest

IMPORTANT: Verify the cost center tree you are using for geofencing is not competing with another cost center tree with both addresses and geofencing enabled.  This will likely cause the system to pull the wrong address or distance.

  • Specify in cost center geofencing restricted distance (if different than in timesheet rule)
  • Set Latitude and Longitude coordinates

3) Employees must have location assigned in their profile OR be prompted to select their location.
