TeamText Broadcast Messaging FAQs

1. How do employees Opt In to SMS notifications and Broadcast messages?

The employee needs to log in to their ESS. Navigate to Settings > My Information > Notification Preferences. They will check the box next to SMS. A pop up will prompt them to send a code to their cell phone number on file. Once the code is received it will be entered into the appropriate boxes and then click Verify. The final step is to check the box for Broadcast SMS and SAVE. Employee can also reference this guideNote: Be sure the employee has access to their Notification preferences turned on in their security profile and they have a cell phone number setup in their employee information.  

 

2. How do you employees Opt Out of SMS notifications and Broadcast messages?

The employee needs to log in to their ESS. Navigate to Settings > My Information > Notification Preferences. They will uncheck the box next to SMS. An alternative method is an employee can text STOP to the client's assigned TeamText phone number.

 

3. How does an employee Opt back into SMS notifications and Broadcast messages if they opted out by texting STOP to the client's assigned TeamText number?

The employee will need to text START to the client's assigned TeamText phone number. They will receive a confirmation SMS message stating they have re-subscribed to receive SMS messages. 

 

4. How do I know if an employee has opted into SMS or email notifications?

The admin can run the SMS Delivery Preferences report for SMS opt ins only. The other option is to run the Notification Preferences report that will show the complete listing of notification preferences an employee has opted into. Note: Be sure the admin or manager has access to these reports turned on in their security profile. 

 

5. How do I know if a broadcast message was sent successfully?

If the message was generated by the system as a notification then the admin will run either the System Generated Emails or the System Generated SMS report. If the Broadcast SMS message was generated by the admin, they will run the User Generated SMS Report. If it was an email generated by an admin, they can reference the same System Generated Emails report. Note: Be sure the admin or manager has access to these reports turned on in their security profile.
